11:05pm And that will be all from us for tonight. More WPL action lined up tomorrow, with the Gujarat Giants hoping to get off the mark against an RCB side that will be hoping to consolidate their spot in the top two. Hope to have your company tomorrow as well. Until then, this is goodbye from everyone here at ESPNcricinfo. Goodnight and take care!

Meg Lanning, Delhi Capitals captain: It was a good game for us tonight. We wanted to keep improving. Up against a really good team, happy to get the win. (On where they wanted to improve) I think having a set batter at the end. Jemi did that really well tonight. There have been phases where we were on top and then lost a couple of wickets. We went for a few (runs) but got early wickets. We felt we were at par with the score. We wanted to target the stumps and killed the game early.

Jemimah Rodrigues, Player of the Match: More than my batting, just happy we won. We wanted to carry forward the momentum. MI is a good team and we had to be at our best. (On the shots she played) I think I am very happy. It was a crucial time to come in. Not the easiest of wickets but it suits my style of batting. My team backs me a lot. They believe in me no matter what. I wanted to learn from the mistakes in my last two matches. One of my friends, my dad and even the coaching staff told me to be myself and that is what I did today. (On if moving around her crease was something she worked on)After the Test match, I had a couple of days, worked on particular things coming into the WPL. Everyone knows your weaknesses, but you also need to know how to manoeuvre the gaps. Trying to just play on the bowler's minds and that worked well for me. Once you do that, you are one step ahead and that helped me (tonight).

Harmanpreet Kaur, Mumbai Indians captain: (Where it went wrong) While fielding, we gave away too many runs. Fielding was not up to the mark as well. When you are playing at this level, you cannot make such mistakes. Even though our top order did not contribute, we could score 160. (On the decision at the toss) We were not as aware of the pitch and that is why we wanted to chase. We were expecting dew but there was not much dew. The ball was gripping and they bowled well, not giving us any freebies. (On the short boundary and how to protect it) We told them (the bowlers) if they can stick to their plans, it will give results. While batting, we were thinking if we can exploit it and score more runs. It affected us while batting but with the ball, we wanted to bowl to our plans. (On the pitch) Change of pace was helping the bowlers, and it was keeping low. Otherwise, it was a bit easy to play your shots. This wicket is different to Bengaluru and we need to think what will work for us. (On Amanjot Kaur's innings) She is someone who is doing really well with the bat. Today, she contributed really well. if one or two batters would have contributed more, result might have been in our favour.

Jess Jonassen, Purple Cap holder: Tonight, our batters set it up and made my job easier. A few cheap ones (wickets) at the end but I will take anything I get (smiles). (How she assesses the conditions) Comes in with a bit of experience. Have played a lot of cricket. Love coming to India. It is about assessing the ideal pace and what will help you get the most out of the surface. In the first three games, it has come off. Loving being back on the field and contributing to wins. (On the score they got) When there were five or six overs to go, we were looking at about 190. They (MI) have a quality batting unit and dew could have been a factor. We wanted a significant total. Jemi was unreal. I think I played my role perfectly too, could not hit it off the square (laughs) and she was hitting it everywhere.

10:43pm Not the way the Mumbai Indians would have wanted their chasing streak to end. The scoreboard pressure made them to funky things inside the powerplay. They tried to put DC under the pump but only ended up losing wickets, never really recovering thereafter. Amanjot's 42-run cameo was the only bright spot and that perhaps sums up how awfully wrong this run-chase went for the defending champions.

The Capitals, on the other hand, were brilliant with the ball. Kapp was a touch more expensive than usual but still accounted for Harmanpreet and Yastika inside the powerplay. Jonassen did what Jonassen does, picking up three wickets, including that of Matthews. Pandey, Radha and Sadhu also did their bit, and this was, in many ways, a complete bowling performance.

Jonassen to Kazi, OUT

Jonassen finishes it off with a wicket! The Mumbai Indians are no longer invincible while chasing, and they have been thoroughly outplayed tonight! Hung up on a length on middle and off. Pitches and skids through, going past Kazi's agricultural hack. Pings off stump, and the Delhi Capitals are all smiles. They establish a two-point lead at the top of the table, and win their first game at home!
