fuller and angling across, Carter looks to run it down to third man, gets an outside edge that just evades the wicketkeeper, and that's victory for West Indies, their highest successful chase in ODIs. Also, it's only the second time they have chased down a 300-plus total in ODIs
Ireland vs West Indies, 4th Match at Dublin, TRI SERIES, May 11 2019 - Match Result
West Indies won by 5 wickets (with 13 balls remaining)
That's all from our side for this game. Thanks for joining us and see you soon.
Holder: Very good victory. Sunil Ambris put us in command. It was one of those wickets where you have to see how it plays. What pleased me more is we batted till the end.
Porterfield: The wicket was a bit slow to start with. Balbirnie has been in great form for us. We were in with a great chance at the half time but you have to give the credit to the opposition as well.
Sunil Ambris is the Player of the Match. "The second time I was given the opportunity to bat at that position," he says. "The wicket was a bit slow at first but once I got in, it was a smooth sailing after that. Performances never go unnoticed."
Time for the presentation ceremony.
6.20pm A five-wicket win for West Indies as they return to winning ways after being beaten by Bangladesh in the last game. Ambris was the star with 148 off 126. He was well-supported by Chase and then Carter. Holder ensured there were no late surprised with 24-ball 36 as West Indies romped him with 13 balls to spare.
fuller around off, Holder looks to finish it with a six, tries to repeat the shot from earlier in the over but it's a slower one and he can only sky it to Porterfield near mid-off
pulled away ferociously this time, Rankin goes short of length but Holder is waiting on the back foot and pulls it away towards deep square leg
one-handed six! Length ball around off and Holder just extends his arms while presenting the full face, over the bowler's head for a six
length ball angling across, cuts it late towards third man
12 off 18
tucked away towards square leg for one
fuller around off, swiped away behind square, Kevin O'Brien puts in the dive, a bit casual though. He gets a hand to it but cannot prevent the boundary
fuller on the stumps, pushed towards short midwicket
short of length on the stumps, goes back and pulls it towards deep backward-square leg for four
fuller outside off, plays towards sweeper cover for one
length around off, mistimes it over short midwicket, comes back for the second
a high full toss on the stumps, Holder hits it towards long-off
full but way outside off, Holder leaves it alone
a full toss wide outside off, Carter reaches out and hits it towards extra cover, a misfield there by Porterfield allows the run
fuller on the stumps, comes forward and drives it towards long-on
fuller on the stumps, Carter carts it down the ground but O'Brien dives to his right at long-on and prevents a certain boundary
Jon: "Michael and AJ, yes he's made some mistakes but he's still young and learning. Who knows? maybe other captains would have done the same or worse but he can't exactly do much since he doesn't have the best squad. You can have the best strategy or plans but ultimately the players have to execute it so you can't put team failures on him only."
fuller outside off, digs it out towards deep extra cover
short of length outside off, goes back and cuts it towards deep point
Anon06: "@Michael: Interesting squad. Forgot about Pierre. He definitely has the skill to be the lead spinner. But I think Pooran is too unproven to be at 5 in a WC squad. Would rather have Chase in there for stability while Hetmyer and Russell bats around him (but I'll still have Pooran in the 15). Holder for Carlos any day. Carlos is yet to do anything of note. And on current form, I'll play Ambris over Bravo."
short of length outside off, punched towards deep extra cover for a couple
short of length on the stumps, chipped towards long-on but a fumble by McBrine allows the second run
