That's it from us here today. Do join us tomorrow and good night from me, Ashish and Sudeep

Uday Saharan, India captain: I am doing well after what seemed like an injury in the warm-up. I got struck on the mouth while I was attempting a catch and I am doing well. We are performing well and we went into the match thinking we should continue to do what we were doing well. We executed our plans better. I don't need to motivate my players. They are all playing well and they are all playing the roles assigned to them in the team. Raj Limbani bowled well. He showed a differenct facet of this pitch when he bowled. We weren't surprised by what the spinners did as we played a game previously here against Ireland. We knew what to expect.

Oscar Jackson, New Zealand captain: Our batting lets us down there and we weren't able to form any partnerships out there in the middle. We felt we bowled really well and restricted them to a par score. Unfortunately our batting couldn't get the job done.We should've more patience in building partnerships. The pitch was pretty similar the whole day and it didn't change

Musheer Khan is the player of the match - Want to thank the almighty. It's a good feeling to get century, a good feeling. Now, I have to keep continuing this form in the next matches. Centuries give confidence to the batter. It allows him to go forward confidently when the matches get tougher. This is a slower pitch and our bowlers have been bowling well. They are in good form and we are getting the results. Got a call from my brother (Sarfaraz Khan) that he got selected to the Indian Squad for the Second Test

India are firming up their reputation as tournament favorites. They seem to tick all boxes right.

No batter in the New Zealand team stayed long enough for the Indian bowler's to have a rethink about their lines and lengths. The domination was such that Musheer Khan scored 50-runs more than what the entire New Zealand XI did.

flighted, fuller outside the off stump. It turns away after pitching. Tsourgas comes down the track to slog and doesn't even get to the pitch of the delivery. He misses. The keeper collects and Tsourgas doesn't even attempt to get back into the crease

Kulkarni to Thompson, OUT

There goes No. 8 and Kulkarni has a wicket. Was the fuller-length ball outside off, he backs away looking to go over the off side. Misses, and the keeper whips off the bails. In fact, the umpire at the bowler's end has given him out, so there might have been an edge there.
