In the following season he appeared for North Queensland Colts and was again selected to represent Country Colts against Metropolitan Colts but in neither season was he able to make the Queensland Colts team, Peter Anderson being the preferred wicket keeper. He moved to Canberra in 1989 and was on the verge of selection for ACT when he decided to go to Ottawa in Canada. In his four years in that country he played for Bel Air CC and in 1995 appeared for an Ontario-Quebec combination against a West Indian team. He returned to Canberra in 1997 and gained his first selection for the ACT when nominated as captain of their team for the National Country Championships hosted in Canberra in January 2000. His club form had been very good and he was called into the Comets team for their one day domestic competition match against Western Australia. He made three appearances in the Country Championships performing well with both bat and ball and has continued to hold his place in the Comets team. He has represented Queensland, New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory and Australia at indoor cricket. He was educated at the Gladstone High School. He works in the furniture sales industry.
