Who is the orange cap holder in the 2024 IPL?

Virat Kohli's match-winning 92 off 47 balls against Punjab Kings on Thursday took him past 600 runs in the 2024 IPL. He remains at No. 1 on the top run-scorers' list with 634 runs at a strike rate of 153.51 from 12 matches.
Ruturaj Gaikwad, Chennai Super Kings' captain, is at No. 2, with 541 runs from 11 games, followed by Travis Head, who smashed an unbeaten 89 off 30 balls in Sunrisers Hyderbad's astonishing assault on Lucknow Super Giants on Wednesday evening. Head has 533 runs from 11 matches at a strike rate of 201.89.
Sai Sudharsan of Gujarat, who made a hundred in Friday night's game against CSK is in fourth place, six runs behind Head. He is followed by Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson on 471.
Kolkata Knight Riders opener Sunil Narine comes next with 461 runs. In seventh place is Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul (460); Royals' Riyan Parag (436); Phil Salt of KKR (429); and Shubman Gill (426), the GT captain, who too made a hundred on Friday against CSK.
Abhishek Sharma, just outside the top ten with 401 runs, leads the way on strike rate among the top 20 run-makers, with 205.64 from 12 games, and has hit the most sixes, 35. Two of his team-mates come next: Head with a strike rate of 201 and Heinrich Klaasen on 186.26. Jake Fraser-McGurk, outside the top 20, has a strike rate of 235.87.
Jos Buttler is the leading century-maker in this year's IPL, with two hundreds. Marcus Stoinis' 124 not out against CSK is the highest individual score of the season. Four of the top five run-scorers have made a hundred apiece, and so have Narine, Gill, Suryakumar Yadav and Rohit Sharma of Mumbai Indians, Will Jacks of RCB, Yashasvi Jaiswal of Rajasthan Royals, and Jonny Bairstow of Punjab Kings. Kohli and Samson lead in terms of half-centuries, with five each; Gaikwad, Head, Parag, Salt, Fraser-McGurk and RCB's Rajat Patidar have made four fifties each.

Punjab seamer Harshal Patel has displaced Mumbai Indians fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah at the top of the list of leading wicket-takers in the 2024 IPL after taking 3 for 38 against RCB. Harshal now has 20 wickets from 12 games at the economy rate of 9.75, while Bumrah is in second place with 18 wickets at an economy of 6.20.
In third place is KKR legspinner Varun Chakravarthy with 16 wickets from 11 games, ahead of Punjab's left-arm fast bowler Arshdeep Singh, who also has 16 wickets, but from 12 matches and at a higher economy rate.
DC's Mukesh Kumar and T Natarajan of Sunrisers have 15 wickets each. Mukesh has got to his tally from eight games, while Natarajan has taken his in ten games.
Nine bowlers have 14 wickets apiece: Kuldeep Yadav and Khaleel Ahmed of DC, KKR's Narine and Harshit Rana, CSK's Mustafizur Rahman and Tushar Deshpande, Punjab's Sam Curran, Yuzvendra Chahal of Royals, and Pat Cummins of SRH.
Three bowlers have taken five-fors so far this season - Bumrah, Yash Thakur of LSG, and Sandeep Sharma of Royals. Ten bowlers - Pathirana, Kuldeep, Natarajan, Mustafizur, Arshdeep, Coetzee, Tushar Deshpande, R Sai Kishore, Mitchell Starc and Josh Little - have taken four in an innings.
Chahal, Kuldeep, Narine and Chakravarthy are the only spinners among the top 20. Narine has the second-best economy rate after Bumrah among the top 20 wicket-takers, 6.61, and Pathirana the third best, 7.68.
