†AUSTRALIA v PAKISTAN 1981-82

At Sydney, December 17. Pakistan won by six wickets, just two days after their comprehensive victory in the Third Test at Melbourne. Sent in on an easy-paced wicket, Australia were struck down in the middle order by all-rounder Mudassar, and owed much to Darling, whose innings ended in a run-out mix-up with Wellham. Marsh contributed some hefty blows in the later stages. The early loss of Mohsin was compensated for by the flamboyant strokeplay of Mudassar and a typically aggressive century by Zaheer which always kept Pakistan in advance of the run-rate.

Man of the Match: Mudassar Nazar. Attendance: 11,413.
