Williams passes fitness test

Fast-bowler Brad Williams today passed a fitness test and declared himself fit to play in the third Test against India starting at the MCG on Boxing Day.
Williams strained ligaments in the AC joint of his left shoulder during the second Test against India at the Adelaide Oval.
Williams completed a fitness test at the WACA Ground outdoor nets under the watchful eye of WACA Physiotherapist David Edgar.
"Over the last three to four days Brad has improved dramatically," Edgar said.
"When Brad returned from Adelaide he was only capable of bowling at fifty to sixty percent. During his fitness test he got up to ninety percent.
"I have spoken with Errol Alcott and have told him that Brad will be fit to play on Boxing Day."
Williams said he felt no pain after the fitness test.
"I had a bowl at the WACA Ground and my shoulder feels great," Williams said.
"I am one hundred per cent recovered and am available for selection for the third Test.
"It has been a lifelong dream to play in a boxing day Test and hopefully I will get that opportunity."
Williams has been receiving interferential and ultrasound treatment twice a day and will continue treatment until he leaves for Melbourne if selected.
