Samuels cleared for tri-series

Marlon Samuels, the middle-order batsman, passed a fitness test, paving the way for his inclusion to the West Indies squad for the upcoming Tri-Series in Malaysia

Marlon Samuels, the middle-order batsman, passed a fitness test, paving the way for his inclusion to the West Indies squad for the upcoming Tri-Series in Malaysia.
Samuels was tested by Bryce Cavanagh, West Indies' strength and conditioning coordinator after he injured his right knee in July during the Stanford 20/20 Tournament. The test was done at the Antigua Recreation Ground and was observed by Bennett King, West Indies' coach.
The 14-man squad is scheduled to depart the Caribbean on September and arrive in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on September 8th to take on Australia and India in the tournament ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy in India.
