Andhra 287 for 8 (Shankara Rao 66, Sahabuddin 52, Sameer Ali 4-57) v Jammu and Kashmir

Half-centuries from Syed Sahabuddin and Shankara Rao rescued Andhra after the top order collapsed on the first day against Jammu and Kashmir in Anantapur. Fast bowlers Sameer Ali, who finished with career-best figures, and Abid Nabi cut through Andhra after they were sent in, reducing them to 129 for 6 after the openers had added 50. Sahabuddin and Shankara Rao stabilised the innings by adding 110 for the seventh wicket but their hard work was partly undone when both batsmen fell in the space of three runs. Duvvarapu Shivkumar and Atchuti Rao steered Andhra to 287 for 8 by stumps.
Rajasthan 246 (Pranay Sharma 64, Gupta 77, Nadeem 6-74) v Jharkhand

Shahbaz Nadeem toiled for 37 overs on the first day and his hard work brought him rich rewards in Dhanbad. The 20-year-old left-arm spinner's career-best haul - 6 for 77 - helped Jharkhand skittle Rajasthan for only 246. Rajasthan made a fast start with the openers racing to 45 by the ninth over but then lost two wickets to Nadeem in quick succession. Nadeem then struck another vital blow by dismissing opener Pranay Sharma, who had scored 64 off 86 balls. Arijit Gupta was firm in the middle order, scoring 77 off 151 balls, before he was dismissed by Sunny Gupta. Nadeem then took three lower-order wickets to polish off the Rajasthan innings.
Goa 91 for 2 v Tripura

The match between Goa and Tripura in Agartala started late due to fog and ended early because of bad light, limiting play to only 20 overs. During that time, new-ball bowler Timir Chanda dismissed both openers, leaving Goa on 91 for 2. Goa captain S Sriram was unbeaten on 38 off 30 balls when play ended. Swapan Das was making his first-class debut for Tripura.
Assam 152 for 3 (Jadhav 54*, Sinha 51) v Vidarbha

Bad light curtailed play to 50 overs on the first day between Assam and Vidarbha in Guwahati and the hosts ended it on 152 for 3. They lost opener Parvez Aziz with the score on 1 in the fifth over but his partner, Dheeraj Jadhav, batted through the day and was not out on 54. Amit Sinha's half-century was brisker, 51 off 66 balls, but he was run out with the score on 84. Shrikant Wagh had Amol Muzumdar lbw too before play ended.
Haryana 150 for 2 (Dewan 56) lead Kerala 93 (Rana 4-27)

A terrific performance from Haryana's bowlers helped them take firm control of their match against Kerala in Rohtak. Joginder Sharma and Amit Mishra took three wickets each while Sachin Rana claimed 4 for 27 to dismiss Kerala for 93 in the 29th over. Preambhastn Prem's 32 was Kerala's top score. Haryana were far more solid in their first innings, reaching 150 for 2 at stumps. Opener Rahul Dewan made 56 before he was run out and there were sizeable contributions from Nitin Saini and Sunny Singh, who was unbeaten on 31.
