Neil McKenzie anchored the chase as South Africa A completed a series whitewash in their third one-dayer against Zimbabwe A. Zimbabwe A managed just 197, with Vusi Sibanda top-scoring with 73, and South Africa A had no problem hunting down the target. They achieved it in just 47.2 overs with eight wickets to spare.
Morne van Wyk, the opener from Free State, contributed 47, and, along with Boeta Dippenaar, got the team off to a steady start. Wyk also added 47 more with McKenzie, before being bowled by Prosper Utseya, the offspinner. McKenzie and Ashwell Prince, who had scored a match-winning 64 in the earlier game, then made sure that there were no further wobbles.
Earlier in the day Alfonso Thomas and Justin Kemp, the medium-pace bowlers from Northerns, helped restrict Zimbabwe A to a modest 197. Only Sibanda and Tatenda Taibu could stitch together a sizeable partnership, worth 70, which helped Zimbabwe inch towards 200.
