Wisden's review of Chennai Super Kings v Rajasthan Royals, Indian Premier League, 2008-09

15-Apr-2010
At Centurion, April 30, 2009 (floodlit). Chennai Super Kings won by 38 runs. Toss: Rajasthan Royals. Chennai Super Kings 164-5 (20 overs) (S. K. Raina 98); Rajasthan Royals 126 (19.3 overs) (R. A. Jadeja 37; L. Balaji 4-21). Chennai Super Kings 2 pts. Man of the Match: S. K. Raina.
Suresh Raina celebrated after smacking his 54th ball, from Munaf Patel, through the covers in the final over to reach what the scoreboard said was his hundred. In reality, though, he had only 98 - and was out next ball. He hit ten fours and five sixes. But he had done enough to ensure a comfortable victory, Chennai's first in three attempts against Rajasthan, whose batting was again a disappointment.
