Danish Kaneria starred as Habib Bank Limited (HBL) booked their place in the final with a five-wicket victory over National Bank of Pakistan (NBP). He finished with 4 for 36 to limit NBP to 262, a target which HBL overhauled with two overs to spare.

After choosing to bat, NBP were given a superb start by their openers, Rashid Riaz (61) and Imran Javed (66), who put on 96. Despite none of their other batsmen getting to a half-century, they managed a competitive total, thanks to thirties from Mansoor Amjad and Shahid Yousuf. The spinners did an excellent job for HBL - their slow bowling department shared eight wickets while the fast bowlers toiled with no success.

NBP struck early through Mohammad Asif, playing his first match in more than five months after being sidelined by an elbow injury, as he removed Rafatullah Mohmand for a duck. HBP soon found themselves struggling at 109 for 4 but express half-centuries from Khaqal Arsan and Kamran Hussain ensured Kaneria's good work wasn't wasted.

SNGPL 257 for 8 (Hafeez 50, Ajmal 2-39) beat KRL 166 (Azhar Ali 67, Asad Ali 3-26, Khalid 3-44) by 91 runs
Scorecard
Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) set up a rematch of the Quaid-e-Azam final by crushing Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) by 91 runs in Karachi. Fast bowler Asad Ali did the star turn, taking three early wickets to dash KRL hopes of making the final.

After being put in, SNGPL mustered a competitive 257. Though six of their batsmen went past 20, none of them went on to play a big knock - their top scorer was captain Mohammad Hafeez with 50. Their total was boosted by some late-order hitting from wicketkeeper Adnan Akmal and Imran Khalid.

KRL's chase got off to a horror start with SNGPL's new-ball bowlers Asad Ali and Samiullah Khan leaving them reeling at 16 for 4. Azhar Ali tried valiantly to keep KRL in the game with a defiant 67 but there wasn't much support for him and they eventually subsided to 166 all out.
