Profile
Alastair McCorquodale competed in the 1948 London Olympics, finishing fourth in the 100m (in a photo finish) although he picked up a silver in the 4x100m relay and also ran in the 200m. He never ran seriously again after that summer. A regular club cricketer, he played three times for Middlesex in 1951 as well as once each for MCC and Free Foresters. He toured Canada with MCC in 1951-52.
