Andhra's openers began the chase positively, adding 59 together. But two quick wickets fell and Rao came to the crease with his side still needing 255 more to win. Despite centuries from J Arunkumar and Ajay Ratra, Goa fell five runs short in chasing Karnataka's 312 at the Guru Nanak College Ground in Chennai. R Vinaykumar top scored for Karnataka with 84 and then took four wickets as Goa were bowled out in the penultimate ball of the match.

The required 15 was too much for the last-wicket pair and Vinaykumar bowled Rohit Asnodkar for a duck to wrap of the game.
M Vijay scored 108 in Tamil Nadu's two-wicket win over Hyderabad at the Sri Ramachandra Medical College Ground in Chennai. TN lost eight wickets and took 49 overs to chase Hyderabad's modest 236, which was built upon Abhinav Kumar's 93. TN's second highest score was R Ramkumar's 37.
