England 67 for 2 beat India 66 by eight wickets
England completed their second comfortable warm-up win ahead of the quadrangular tournament in Chennai, rushing to an eight-wicket win against India A.
The highlight for England was the bowling of Ebony Rainford-Brent, in her first outing in international colours since back problems forced her out as a 17-year-old in 2001.
She took two wickets for eight runs in her five-over spell, including the wicket of Kamakshi with her second ball to mark her return to cricket. The England attack shared the wickets around after India decided to bat, with only two players reaching double figures.
Rainford-Brent, Laura Marsh, Holly Colvin and Laura Newton each took two apiece, with Jenny Gunn and Isa Guha contributing one apiece, as India crumbled to 66 all out.
England's reply got off to a poor start with Caroline Atkins (5) and Newton (3) going in the first three overs, but Taylor (32) and Edwards (26) batted out the remainder of the innings, wrapping up the win in the 16th over.
