Andy Goram was one of the last in a long line of those who played cricket and football to a high level. A generation earlier he might have made more of his cricket career, but such were the pressures of professional football that his appearances for Scotland as a right-arm medium-pacer were limited. He represented a number of football clubs, but he is best remembered for his time at Rangers, where he was voted their best keeper of all time in 2001. He also won 43 caps for Scotland. It was once reported that he suffered from mild schizophrenia, and fans immediately started chanting Two Andy Gorams, there's only two Andy Gorams. He took on the Australians on their 1989 Ashes tour, but ended up being fined for his enthusiasm his by his then-club, Hibernian.
